actually, you get that update when you warp to any of those locations, and I wasn't talking about targeting the items from afar, each of those locs put you right next to the books so you can pick it up yourself

There is a solo task in Katta Castrum called the Library Heist from Arcanist Variszh. It basically requires you to pick up 4 books off the ground in the library while evading the guards (if you get caught, all they do is take away the books you have picked up and kick you out of the library)...
