Question - Zlindicar engagement

I have been posing on anther thread about my toons not engaging on Zlandicar and they are still not doing anything. I have my MA and MT set. I have enough camp radius on my toon to engage. They are all set to engage at 99%. I can pull and tank and spank just fine on group content.

They will eventually engage, as my computer beeps on a named, when he is at 77% and that is not good enough.

I run WAR ENC CLR WIZ MAG BST and if everyone just attacked like they are set up to do it would be fine. My gear is all fine, Warrior is in half IE and CoV t3.

I have to End the macro and manually send in the pets for the BST and MAG, then start KA again and hope they are doing something by the time I get back.


I am really frustrated with this, and everything should work, and everything should be set up to work correctly. There maybe somethin stupid I am missing, but I have tried everything I have heard in the other thread.

How can my toon engage at 99% and not 77%? Why is it so slow?

do you have the same problems in other areas/mobs?

Zlandi is a very large mob - perhaps an issue with your settings with meleedistance (for both spell casting and pet stuff)

I thought it was because I had him targeted by my DPS before I said "insist", that wasn't it.

I thought it was because I needed to pause the macro, say "insist" and the unpause, that wasn't it.

Is it because he is starting within my camp area? Should I pull him to my dps?

No, I do not have this problem anywhere else. I was tanking and spanking efreetits last night with zero problem. They team jumps all over them.

I am thinking now maybe I need to set my DPS outside the camp range, engage him, then move them up into range.

Currently they camp range is 100 and they are starting 80 away. I should change camp to 80, start 100 away, then move them to 60.

did you check your meleedistance setting like i mentioned? this is also used for spellcasting and pet engage distance

MAG and WIZ were 75, I changed to 100.

BST was already 100 and she wasn't engaging either.

I am rezzing, buffing, summon pets and toys and will try agian.

Ok, trying again, melee distance set to 100. I have dps camped at 120 and will move them in once I engage.

So believe it or not... it worked. I set melee and camp to 100. Started the event with them at 120 away, moved them in closer and they started right away. He went down like a cupcake.

I use KA on all my toons. B4 triggering, I position the tank to his front and auto attack on and all other to his tail. After the trigger all toons seemingly start to do their job at 99%. Never seen behavior like you describe.

Yeah dragon models can be deceiving because they are so big, but they have the same little radius as a rat model.
