Question - Z-axis Exploit (and -/+6000)

I've read several old posts in which people state using z-axis exploits to kill certain boss mobs, and around the middle of 2005, the z-axis exploit required warping to -/+6000 z-axis and being unsummonable.

Can anyone elaborate on the following:

1. Is there a generic z-axis exploit?
2. Did this work prior to 2005?
3. How does it work?

As far as we know mq2 if not running for Mac. Tho that being said....I talked to a dev who said some thing about it working...we here have not had the time to look into it tho

If you can warp with mq2 on eqmac without being banned my guess would be a lot of old hacks would still work. The question is did sony take the time and update EQMac so stuff like this and gk wont work on it.

I would also warn against it EQmac is a close community they see people doing something weird it wont be long before SOE knows about it and bans you.

You would use mq2setgrav and make yourself perma lev back before they had it in game
you would then warp 5000 above the world and use the ghostkill plugin
You could damage any mob in the zone but they couldn't attack you

Thanks Maskoi, I wasn't sure if it required ghostkill or perma lev or just the ability to warp to those coords.

Warping's possible on EQMac, and only if you're a complete moron will you get caught.

Can you all think of any exploits achievable by using warp alone?

I remember hanging around with a guy who was doing the GK thing back in the day. I wrote a script that would basically with setgrav to 0 send me to whatever mob he was targeting 500 loc units up and get xp credit for the kills :) I think I got like 500+ AAs in one day with that.

LOL the ND/GK days were stupid fun, but people were doing it in open zones all the time after a month and got it totally nerfed. 6000 AAs in a single night was no problem on pretty much any class that could wield a 2 H weapon.

If you get more than 2800 units away from a mob in eqmac (even directly above or below) the mob outregens the damage - out of combat regen.

I still have my monk I made just to mess around with ND/GK. 1 to 70 in 2 hours. Max aa the next day. It always sucked to run into a mob with a DS on though, lol. Z axis got two of my bards banned.
