Hey so I use wineq and it has preset hot keys for each window up to 8 toons (ctrl+alt+1) and it has that set up to number 8. When I load more then 8 toons the default hot keys on those windows just say NONE.

So my question is how does one either pre aet a hot key for those windows after #8 or what program are multi boxers using to control 9+ toons ? Thanks

The newer program many use is ISBoxer by the same developers. Essentially what WinEQ grew into over time for more versatility. On WinEQ, do you have custome launchers for each account you're using or do you just simply tell it to add another session? I am pretty sure if you make a custom selection for each account, you can just type in what key combination you want for each account in that profile.

Thanks for getting back to me. I use the AUTO option for their Global Activation Hotkey. The problem is when I go to WinEQ>Preferences>Hotkeys. It only has Global Activation 1-8 there and I don't see how to add another one. Now if I go to Profiles TAB there is 20+ profiles but even when I change one from AUTO to CTRL+ALT+9 it doesn't register for some reason =/ .

Maybe this ISBoxer is my next best option I will look into it thanks

I use ~/` key on the global hotkeys Everquest > Hotkeys > Next Session > `
That way i can cycle through all of mine by hitting the key that is just left of the 1 key and never used for anything.

You can set hotkeys in WinEQ2 in the options. For EQEmu my main group uses Ctrl+Alt+# and my second group uses Ctrl+Alt+Shift+#.

as with the OP i only have 8 global hotkeys available. wineq2 > options > preferences > everquest > hotkeys > global activation 1 - 8 only. i did adapt maskoi's info about using a button for next session, which is a pro tip, but the global hotkeys are really ideal for me and i'd buy more accounts if i could set more of those up! i don't want to cycle instances (i mean, i can, but in a perfect world and all that) i just want to push 1 button and go to a specific character.

The default for a character profile will state "AUTO" for the hotkey. The auto hotkey listing for sessions is limited to 8 that it will automatically assign going from top down as you open new new sessions. If you are using the "AUTO" global hotkeys, yes, there are only 8. If you are opening more, you have to NOT use the "AUTO" in the character profile but actually assign them on each character. To do so, just go to teh character profile under preferences > profile > charactersname.... The 9th row down in the profile settings states Global Activation Hotkey. Be default it has the word "AUTO" in it. Change that to the key combination you wish to use ie. ctrl+alt+9 or ctrl+alt+0 or ctrl+alt+F2. You can make up as many as you need. The only thing you have to do is remember that the hotkey is always the same now when you load up instead of sequential using auto.
