Windows Vista and DirectX 10 (1 Viewer)

Will Everquest work w/ DX 10 / Vista? Is it expected that Macroquest written under DX 9 will work with Vista and DX10? (DLL's are tied to the DX version, right?) Should I upgrade now, or put off until DX 10 comes out? I was informed that DX 10 will not be backwards compatible. Any assistance and guidance would help.

EQ works fine under Vista. I have to either set it to always run under administrator, or turn the UAC off. Same with MQ2.

You can simply change the permissions on the EQ and MQ folder for Domain User to have modify permissions ...
