Is there a way to know what loot a corpse has without actually having to loot? And if there is, is there a way to loot the corpse without actually going near it, kind of like ganking items from the ground?

Check loot without looting I have never heard of it

But on the 2nd question you can /warp target and /loot then /warp succor if need be.
Thats how i do it anyway

The reason I ask is because I was wondering if we could check corpses while running a bard chant macro without stopping the circle, and loot while running if the loot is what you want.

Oh i see. My bard friend actually runs a FD class loot bot. It actually just loots what he wants too (in the macro he puts the loots to loot) then the bard keeps its circle. The necro will FD whenever agro comes to it. Its not what you are looking for but it might be an alternative. hopefully someone can come up with something
