My main group of dudes: SHD, SHM, BRD, BST, BER, BER...

When teh SHD goes down, which happens occasionally, BST will throw a message that MA is down and pet is now taunting so good to know that the BST is aware and takes some action to keep the group afloat. This is fine for a single mob scenario. Everyone in the group continues beating up the mob and when the fight is over the SHM throws the SHD a rez. All good there.... however when the SHD goes down and there's a few mobs, after that one that the SHD started is dead, the rest of the group kinda just sits there. Is there anything that would promote the BST to temporary MA, have everyone else assist until the fight is over then we can go back to normal config?

I've been trying to figure this out for awhile but haven't come up with anything other than jumping in and hitting some buttons i've set up myself to set everything to manual, then I alt tab until battle is over. Its awkward and i thought that perhaps I've missed something obvious.

Maybe you could use mq2react to check a tlo for hovering death mode, like when your SK dies. Then, issue a command to make your BL MA. Your SK would have to be group leader obviously to issue that command.

Not even sure if that would work, but I’d also like to accomplish the same.

yeah the bst is just turning on pet taunt while your sk is dead - this is to buy time so you can get your sk back in the fight.

this isn't going to make your group leader make your beastlord your main assist and main tank

does your shaman not have the call of the wild aa? even without a rezstick - this is a good way to get a toon back in the fight while you still have mobs. without call of the wild.

if you're low enough that you only have incarnate anew - shaman as a solo healer is going to be challenging for you - but yeah, you'd need to make your bst MA/MT if you're going to be dead a while.

If i were in your shoes - I would make a social on your bst that bcts to your tank to make you group assist (if they can even do that while dead - if not have them revive first and then do it). and in the mean time you can manually target and turn on attack to the mobs that you need to be attacking.

Thanks Sic!

Yeah this shaman is only 71 and is just using Incarnate Anew right now. Once the shaman gets a bit further along (around 85ish) i'll krono for the AA autogrant.

I'm currently working with both of your suggestions to see which one works best:
  • Refining my collection of socials so I can manually adapt to this scenario until the fight is complete and I can recover.
  • Playing with making the shaman group leader and figuring out a way to automatically reassign MA (or via command from BST). This way there shouldn't be any delay/issues due to SK being leader but also dead/hovering over the corpse, etc. I am hoping that if this works, everything will dynamically readjust in the moment and assist my BST without problems.

Poking at this in my spare time, I'll let you know if/when I find something that works as this is probably a thing for everyone's groups. MA dies, it happens. If this were a real live group, someone would step in and tank mobs to get through the encounter. There is probably a clever way to replicate that.
