Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Anyone else dont see the MQ2Tooltip's ? plugin loaded, the xml is in my custom ui directory, my hud is enabled, i have the message ToolTip is now on and just to be sure FollowMouse is now ON.. And i just dont see the ToolTip Window.

I did see it once, with the beta release, but never again.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

If you are using a custom UI make sure you have the XML file in the right folder.
/reload
Hit the F11 key. Look for the green ping bar in the upper left hand corner to make sure your hud is on

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Do i have to /reload everytime i logon ? (xml is in the right folder, and my hud is visible).

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

No you shouldn't. if you dont' see the window try /tooltip on or just mouse over something

As i wrote in my first post, and i just tested it again.

1.) Plugin is loaded
2.) xml is in the correct directory (my custom ui directory).
3.) My HUD is activated
4.) /tooltip on gave the correct message (ToolTip is now ON)
5.) I did an /tooltip follow on (Answer: FollowMouse is now ON) to make sure the window is not hidden somewhere.

It worked once, with the beta. Since then never again. I did not think about it, until now.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Try it with the the default UI to make sure the custom one isn't screwing something

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Try it with the the default UI to make sure the custom one isn't screwing something

1.) copied the xml into the default directory
2.) made sure plugin loaded
3.) My HUD is activated
4.) /tooltip on gave the correct message (ToolTip is now ON)
5.) I did an /tooltip follow on (Answer: FollowMouse is now ON) to make sure the window is not hidden somewhere.
6.) loaded default ui

No Tooltip.

Any way to turn some debug messages on ?

Edit: I just rebooted my computer, after reboot and logging in i have currently the TT window. Not that i changed anything.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Thanks for adding my MQ2EQBC changes to the official compile. :) I hope someone finds my changes, and eqbci useful.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

When EQBCi is more stable and tested we can add to the compile if you want.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

That sounds good. It would double the size of the download though (not like 14MB download is much these days though). The QT libraries and VS 2013 .dlls add roughly 7MB. I am using QT so it will be portable (I wrote it in/for Linux originally). Once I get my development environment for Android set up, I'll compile it for that too. I may have to change the UI for Android/iOS devices though.

The latest version 0.08 is pretty stable, but I haven't done much testing since switching from native windows/linux sockets and libevent to QT's QTcpSocket and QTimer. I uploaded the latest compile to sourceforge today.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

ToolTip not visible again.. Something is wrong. But if i am the only one with this problem it's not that bad.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Though I know your HUD is activated, I couldn't see it until I F11'ed a couple times.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Tonight's emergency patch screwed the mq2 - incorrect client version grrrrr

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

good day,

Im new to the community here and was just wondering how long it usually takes to update to the new client version?

Was realy going to enjoy kissassist and cant imagine to play without :-)

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Usually anywhere from a couple of hours to a day. Depends on how fast the mq2 devs push out the new source code.

Re: Very Vanilla Compile 20150801 - Maintenance Release

Probably stupid question, but it looks like a new compile has been pushed to mmobugs, and it is normally there earlier. Are the two sites seperate subs?
