any suggestions for someone who has ruined Thurg faction? :P

The dain was a prime target during velious and thus, my Thurg faction is jacked up..

anyway, any suggestions on how I could get this faction back up would be appreciated, other than a pure grind in Kael.

Armysoldier, the way your macro was originally working is that it ran you to spots, but I guess that was when my faction with the tizmaks was ok, now whenever I walk by the aggro me. So I didn't really need to change that after all hehe.

And Ferny, I suggest killing maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanny frost giants.

lol BD .. yeah now that you mention it... i remember that.. lol.. now they all agro you ..

you seen any of those holiday giants in the caves?

The giants don't come near the caves, I've only seen one once on my map, but I was inside the caves so he didn't come get me. The only danger would be running from thurg to the caves because sometimes the giants run over there.

I usually start it at the falls...

/echo You have entered The Great Divide

or in thurg ... be at ZL .. start macro ... and zone .. and your all set

any chance of getting this macro in a xxx.mac format ziped for download for those of us who arent really good at assembling our own?

This is simply a macro not hard to "compile" but I put it into a file format for you. It is in entirety a work from Army Soldier I did nothing but copy paste so here ya go.

Also Red Cent for being so nice is appreciated =).

Click start, then programs, then accessories, then notepad.
Copy and paste the script from one mac into one notepad, Click save as, and then name it whatever the macro name is with a .mac at the end.

Example
Veliumhunter.mac.

Click save.

If a macro requires a .ini file you do the same as instructed above, only you name it the same name as the .ini file is named on the page you found it on with a .ini instead of .mac at the end.
(the reason for naming it the same as found on the site is that the macro it goes to uses an include function to access information in the .ini file. unless you want to go throughthe macro and alter the name of the call for that .ini you changed the name of; I suggest you just keep the original name.)

This is the easy stuff, you'll get it down though. Just read the guides here and tinker with things and you'll get it eventually.
Oh and don't let anyone discourage you.

I get the same error on this mac as I do on alll macs that I copy / paste..... Sub main not found.... I have others that people haev mailed me work fine.. but when I copy / paste I get this error. I have a couple like combine.mac that work fine but none of the hunter ones or tradeskill ones.... anyone have a clue?

Most probably you are using Windows Xp Notepad, it likes to add extra stuff to your files. Probably some funky character in front of Main causing the error.

Windows 2k and 98 versions of Notepad worked great but Xp versions is sucky imho.

I highly recommend Notepad++, it is free open source project:
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm

It is highly customizable via plugins for more advanced programming work but works great for me as a simple text editor.

I am sure there are other nice text editors around.
