Tip - Use Xtarget on Agnarr/Phinny

For anyone wanting to use the Xtarget targeting functionality for selecting on servers where Xtarget is disabled and MQ2 is not supported, below is a trick I use for consistent targeting and also for identifying how many mobs are in a pull. One key note to this, is you do not get the visual window of xtarget, but the aggro targets being added and the ability to select targets from the Xtarget list works.

Find your Everquest directory and locate file eqclient.ini:
\Daybreak Game Company\Installed Games\EverQuest\eqclient.ini

Within the eqclient.ini file, there will be options for Xtarget as follows:
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_1_1=0
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_2_1=0
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_3_1=0
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_4_1=0

These are your keybindings for selecting the mob in each of the respective xtarget slots. If those values don't exist in the eqclient.ini file, simply copy/paste them. Another way to add them is to login to an EQ server that supports Xtarget, use the in-game UI to keybind them to what you want, then those same keys should also work on Agnarr/Phinny. If you choose to set the keybindings via the .ini, simply replace the 0 with the respective keybind number you would like. For example below are mine for xtarget 1-4 being set to F5, F6, F7, F8 keys.

KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_1_1=63
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_2_1=64
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_3_1=65
KEYMAPPING_TARGET_XTARGET_4_1=66

Hope this helps some folks not able to leverage MQ2 on Agnarr/Phinny.

In case anyone cares, this goes further. You can set hotkeys to add to xtars, drop from xtars, cycle xtars, etc. The only thing you can't do is open the xtars window (that hotkey does nothing, also read further).

Of further note: If you wanted to try to get the xtars into the UI somehow -- it's probably not worth trying. They filter out all the eqtypes on these progression servers based on expansion, so all of the extended target eqtypes won't provide information to the UI. Basically, you'll get UI elements but they will not be populated with data/can't be interacted with/are just taking up space. Not so useful.
