Hi guys, I'm having a problem with my ini.. After every fight it will re-buff all the clickies, and autofire will not work when pulling. Thoughts? Also any thoughts on optimizing DPS here..

Do you have any holies in your mq2melee INI that might be firing them? Even if you didn't put them there they could have been included in a file you might have downloaded. Check your server_toonname.ini in your MQ2 folder for any listed downshits.

[EDIT] I had troubs with autofire and just turned it off rather than figure out what was going on FYI.
 
take out all the item clickies, minus the lizard scale plate, all those clickies are a permanent buff now and will chain try to click them because the buff applied isnt what the item casts.

Couldn't you use the DUAL tag then in the buff section:

This is important since the SHM Unity line consists of multiple buff effects, one of which wears off quickly (like 8-12 seconds). If DUAL syntax is not used, KissAssist will rebuff Unity every 8 (12) seconds where the other 3 or 4 effects last hours.

Obviously if they are perma buffs now no need to include them at all...
 
Well, Taking the clickies out did the trick

Now.. the following problems

AutoFire does not work when pulling mobs

DPS is low (Suggestions? )

When a mob aggro's the merc.. toon ignores the mob.. It's a healer merc

The role of the ranger is PullerTank

It's just the ranger and the merc doing AA's

Also, If there is multiple mobs, after pull is dead it will stand there until you manually select the mob to attack then it will engage

Well the role in your ini says assist and not pullertank. Also not set to attack until mob is at 95% health.
 
naw, Pullertank at KA startup trumps what his role in the INI is. It trumps the role as well as the AssistAt.

However, I will point out, I had hella troubs molo-ing with KA. It doesn't surprise me the oddities you are experiencing. My life did not improve until I had something in the grp other than a merc.

Are you targetting the merc at KA startup (shouldn't with PullerTank)? Is merc healer or tank. I found with molo-ing healers work well but tanks, man, I can't tell you the issues I had...
 
Good to know, I didn't know as I always had a plate class as a tank. lol

I change role to PullerTank and set health to 100.. Not much difference. Still no autofire

When merc heals, mob jumps on merc. Isn't there a way to set it so toon will pull aggro off merc healer?

I don't know what's up with the DPS.. Averages around 20k. I think it should be easily double that.

Has cotf t2 raid weapons with dmg augs.. 15kAA

Could add taunt or enraging cut kicks to your agro section possibly to help. Also like Incognito said, do not target the merc at start up.

Is there a known bug with AutoFire?
 
Also, if auto-using MQ2Melee, it will auto fire a ton of things for you like taunt etc. Type /melee and it will list your MQ2Melee settings. I let it do a lot of skills/discs for me. It should hold aggro all by itself if molo-ing with a healer merc.

Shouldn't have to state it, but just in case, MQ2Melee has to not only be loaded as a plugin, but UseMQ2Melee=1 in your KA ini (if you are using KA beta 9).

Don't tell Maskoi.

Alright.. I modified the melee a bit.. I set bow and arrow with proper item ID's hoping that would fix AutoFire.. No luck.

In the INI it should be AutoFireOn=1 under Melee?
 
Another issue I had with bow (on my ranger), merc or no merc, was going after mobs to low a lvl. I never understood it. You were sayin you were grinding AA's so I'm guessing the mobs are quite a bit lower than you. In my case, I was trying to top off an achievement, and the mobs were newbie mobs (long since greyed). I never did get it resolved. I simply don't use autofire. In my particular case, I had to pull with melee.

In contrast, my 105 war uses bow to pull all the time successfully. Even greens *shrug*. But I have auto-fire off and don't expect the war to do anything more than pull (not a ranger). You get this resolved everyone would benefit. I just ran outa time, had other things to concern myself with, and gave up.

Note, autofire will not fire when you are in melee range (at least it didn't). So if your ranger is pullertank, I do not believe that you are going to be able to use it. It does work if you have an actual tank, and the ranger is DPS.
 
MQ2Melee doesn't handle autofire very well for some reason. I had to edit my macros to turn autofire on.

That aside, I thought that KA already handled autofire.Though I would assume it would not engage AF while pulling, to not risk damaging a summoning mob on pull, but rather wait till it was in camp. Then it needs 30' for range to work.

Barring that though, I imagine we can work out something to get AF working, depending on how you want it set up. There are flags for if it is on or off, so just a matter of setting up the conditions to turn it on.

Imbued Ferocity is an agro reducer ,but you can copy and past this into your mq2melee file. Should fire it when it is up.

Kiss will not do this. Auto fire is for setting a toon like 120 feet away from the group turning off melee and just shooting at the mob.
 
Try this in your DPS section to see if it helps. It's a EQGeek's DPS 100 ranger ini with your 101 stuff added. You can add in your dicho also if you want as well. You don't need to add Rk. II to the names as Kiss will fire your highest version anyways.

only cause I hate leaving a problem unsolved....Maskoi made it clear KA is not going to do what you want. But if you honest to goodness want to try, you can make a holyshit, but you will have to tweak is by hand to fit what you want it to do.

${Me.Autofire} is the tag for telling if you are already autofiring or not... so you don't spam the server with the autofire command if you are already firing.
${Target.Distance}>30 is the minimum distance your bow will work at.
The second line is to turn off AF if you are under min bow range. Adjust to fit what you want, or add more restrictions.

This sort of thing means anytime you have something aggroed and the target is more then 30' away it will try to make it a pincushion. It wont be discrete like KA, if you got a target it shoots. I personally think as soon as you get summoning mobs it will get your ranger dead, but that is on you =)
 
It's fine, It's can deal with this little hangup, going to work on tweaking the DPS.
