Problem - Target switching to merc

When did your problem start?

Just came back after a 3 month break and had not noticed it before.

Character Role?

1. Assist
2. Tank

What class is having this issue?

How often does this issue occur?

My characters are all switching their target to their mercs periodically when out of combat. I generated an empty configuration file to make sure this wasn't something in my config. Looking at the debug output it seems to happen whenever the WriteBuffsMerc routine runs. Is there anyway to disable this? I manually target mobs for pulls on my SK and sometimes the target gets switched to my merc before the pull spell gets cast.

i only noticed this when i have the merc as my main assist?, remember you dont have to assist of the merc, just make your sk the mainassist for kiss, for example the tank role

I've noticed this as well with only my toon (Paladin - MA) and a Merc (MT) in a group. Kissassist will force my toon to target the Merc after a small period of inactivity.

The SK is marked as MT and MA.

Just pause the macro while you are manually pulling. The merch has to be targeted to update the Buffs.ini file.

Thanks for the response. Is this new functionality? I don't recall this being a problem back in January.

I am always manually pulling so pause, target, pull, un-pause would be more of a hassle than just re-targeting when it's switched. Ideally it would be nice if I could just turn merc buff writing off for my puller in the config. I realize that this means the merc wouldn't get re-buffed (or maybe continually buffed?) but I'm not buffing it with anything but the group buffs anyway. Alternatively maybe switch back to the previous target once the buffs are written?

Wasn't a recent change, the Merch has always been targeted to write the buffs to the Buffs.ini file. But there were some changes made to try and limit the target swapping that was happening.

I will see about adding a flag in the merc section so the checking of Merc's buffs can be turned on or off. It will be defaulted to on.
