I hope this will become a one stop spot for speeding up everquest. There are several posts here and there with different tips, but not one place to get them all. All of this stuff was borrowed from other people, or is just common sense.

http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php?t=6194&highlight=weasel+start These utilities can help a little if you dont manage all your services yourself. (I haven't noticed much but it might help some improvement)

Turn off all luclin models - no brainer there.

All graphics settings should be at the minumum.

Texture cacheing - I dont get much improvement from it being on, but i seem to go longer without crashing with it off.

Texture compression on.

In the eqclient.ini file set serverfilter to 1. (not sure how much if at all this helps). I also set showgrass to 0.

I also increased my pagefile to 2.5 GB (also not sure if this helps or not, but it seems to help)

/viewport 1 1 1 1 will stop your screen from rendering the graphics (or at least makes the area so small you can't see it) This seems to help a little as well.

If anyone else has any tips please reply with them and I will add them to this list, or if anyone who knows more than me can tell me any of these tips do not help ill remove them.

Under options in game, Can turn off Pixel Shaders, Player Names, Actor Clip Plane,Shadows, Use Old Water, Sky off, Npc Names, Clip Plane to 0

Turning off the load screen that pops up when you zone helps to if you have a slower computer i would assume. Go to options in game to do it,
