Question - [SOLVED] Is there a setting that allows toons using /afollow to med when not moving?

/chaseon allows the toons to med, but /afollow has them always standing even while not moving. As such, mana and endurance levels drop and stay low until I disable following on the whole party. It's quite inconvenient.

I've gotten around the issue on 1 toon because it has a mount, but its movement speed is now slower than the rest, so it isn't as usable of a solution.

So, is there a setting or ini that I can modify that will allow following toons to med when not moving? I do not want to use /chaseon with my current play style.

I just made a hotkey to tell my characters to sit
line 1 : /bcg //sit off
line 2: /bcg //sit
First line is to make sure they are standing, because if they are sitting /sit will make them stand
Second line makes them all sit. I'm sure there are better ways

Yea, but I am trying to avoid manually telling each party member to do that, especially if I'm moving often enough that it'd be quite a hassle. I'd really like /afollow to show the same kind of chasing logic as found in KissAssist/MuleAssist.

I'm hoping that there is just a setting or command that I am not aware of to make /afollow med properly at stops.

afollow is not designed for a mobile group that is going to run from mob to mob and fight. It's meant for the situation where you need to move your entire group from camp spot A to camp spot B and then be disabled once you reach your destination.

I get that you don't like chase mode, but that is the tool meant for a roaming group, which it sounds like is what you're trying to do.

Well poop. Ok, thanks for the definitive answer, so I can put this request to rest.

I can understand not wanting to rely on chase. Chase doesn't follow through tough areas of navigation nearly as well as followme. Followme works more like follow no matter what while chase is more like follow if the mesh is perfect and there are no blades of grass to avoid or water to make me wet. Followme will follow through invis walls in Kael for instance while chase will stop and stare at the fake wall forever. Over time I have learned to turn on followme any time I encounter water or a fake wall. No idea why it is but it just is.

afollow "records" where your dude went and follows that recording

mq2nav uses the available mesh to navigate on it

so when you're in areas with a spotty mesh, or fake walls, or places that have missing mesh - mq2nav can't work there

i run my dudes in chase, and then if i get to a spot like that i'll just tap on my follow me button until ive passed that area

I think I found a solution. I was diving deeper into the rgmerc commands, and found "FollowToonName"

I've set all my guys to follow my SK that I am manually controlling, and so far, it seems to be working just like /afollow, but they med when I'm not moving.

So if others run into a similar desire as I have, /rg FollowToonName might be just what they are looking for.

To disable the following, /rg FollowToonName NULL works.
