This is probably MQ2Melee. Do you hae harmtouch in your ini? If not, check your MQ2Melee settings and set harmtouch to 0.

you could also try
/melee harmtouch 0
/melee save

mq2melee should have that fixed, but if he has older mq2melee settings from before the fix, then yeah it would fire, could also be using an almar ini for kiss, cause this sounds like something almar would do
