Question - Running more than EQBCS server

Like the title says, how do you run more than one EQBCS server? the aim for this is to separate group EQBC communication since i plan to run two groups in one computer.

I did try to manually do this:

Rich (BB code):
mq2eqbcs.exe -p 2113

Which resulted in a separate extra server running on port 2113. But how do i automate this with one click? how do i organize logs and stuff?

I searched forum but failed to find any related info about the "Channels" or how to establish them, i ended up trying to make two EQBCS servers. :(

I just dont understand why you need 2 channels, you can control multiple groups in 1 EQBC server...

ive ran 3 groups on 1 EQBC server and had no issues with separating them..

on each character in group one, do /bccmd channel group1. on each in group 2, do /bccmd channel group2. or whatever name you wish. Then when sending commands, you can do /bct group1 //mac kissassist assist Gigantotank 97 (or whatever).

example:
group of 6. i name this group WillyWonka. so, on each toon, /bccmd channel willywonka. Now i'm on my gnome, and to have them all target me, /bct willywonka //tar ${Me}. then /bct willywonka //say Damn you look good!

Simply cleaner and less clutter, eye catching too in case you wanted to track something with that group.

Thanks. How do you save all the settings so when toons logs in they'll just join that channel? will be included in the bccmd INI for each toon? or just autoreconnect will do?

It always automagically saved for me. autoreconnect should do the trick.

By the way, i have a shortcut on my desktop to mq2eqbcs.exe. you could probably make a shortcut on your desktop to do <PATH>\mq2eqbcs.exe -p 2113

I've been meaning to look into the channels myself. Thanks for that info deathbiscuit !
