Devlin
Raid Setup
Group 1 - Tank group - 3 clerics, 3 warriors
Group 2 - Adds Group - 2 Pallies, 2 druids, 2 enchanter
Rest of Raid set up as normal for a mob with ae ramp and ae's
Raid Positioning
Position Raid outside Devlin's room at all times when not engaging Devlin.
Important Things to Note
On each "switch" Devlin becomes inactive, at this point move all raid outside of the room and back to the point stated in raid positioning.
If the raid does not move from the room, they will get a 10k DD ae and chance of getting drunk.
Camp a paladin or shadowknight before engaging, as after each time he becomes inactive and then picks up a new set of weapons, he will summon the last person to zone into DPoB.
Devlins Shield
When Devlin has his shield unbroken, he reflects all DD spells. You need a wizard/druid team to remove the shield.
To do this, you need to alternate hot and cold nukes. If you get a spell in the correct order, you will get:
After being struck by your fire magic, Devlin's shield weakens and cracks slightly.
If you get the order wrong, or anyone nueks it before shield is down they will get:
Devlin shield reverts to perfect condition.
Devlins shield needs to be rebroken each time he changes weapon.
Devlin's Modes
Glass Vial Mode
This mode is when devlin is wielding a blue bottle in his primary hand. Every now and then he will lob two vials at people. These vials explode with an 8k DD ae.
To deal with these, you either swap corner you are tanking him in each time he throw them, thus getting out of range of teh ae, or you pick the vials off the floor and destory them.
The emote when he throws a vial at you is:
Devlin lobs a glass vial exactly where you are standing! The glass cracks and looks as if it could explode at any moment!
In this mode, he has normal melee damage and single rampage, our tanks do not use any discs to tank this mode.
Dagger Mode
By far the worst mode he has, as it is very high DPS. Devlin is in this mode when he is wielding duel daggers.
Tanks need to go evasive in this mode as the dagger negate defensive disc. Clerics need to spam heal the tank like mad. Although he only hits for under 2k each hit, he hits fast and often.
At times when moving him to corner, he may stop and decide to throw things at you, tanks needs to maintain agro from a distance while raid pummels him till he can move him again.
AE Rampage Mode
Devlin is in this mode when he is wielding an axe in his primary hand. This ae ramp is similar to the damage hatchets ae ramp does. Again, tanks do not need to use discs to tank him in this mode unles they want to. Just corner him, break his shield and DPS him down.
Emotes Mode
By far the easiest of devlins modes. You can tell he is in this mdoe when he is wielding a whip in his primary hand.
Emotes are asking you to remove parts of armour or weapons just pay attention and he is easy. Corner him, break shield and burn him down.
That is all there really is to devlin.. well all i can think of from the top of my head.
