I believe it may be an issue with the coding of the compile, or just my computer.

Attempt to run Shmbot first, come up with aforementioned error where it shows:

<drive>:\MQ\MQ\shmbot.mac

where this should be attempting to read from \MQ\Macros\shmbot.mac

Should I just rename my macro folder MQ for now? or will that cause issues with the macro trying to access different plugins?

Moved thread this isn't a plugin issue

Check in your macroquest2.ini you have the right path
[MacroQuest]
MacroPath=.\Macros

and you don't have any other weirdness in aliases
