Hey guys,

maybe I missed the boat on this one, but I am contemplating going back to 2 groups instead of just 1 on Ragefire, but my concern is that with OoW and beyond, a lot of events become scripted.

Just wondering from anyone out there with experience around that - is it more pain than its worth to run 12 toons with so many events being scripted or is it not really that big of a deal and still doable?

Just based off the server climate, I would say the only thing you'd gain from having 12 instead of 6, is an easier time doing epic 1.5 content. Anything that's worthy of people farming is going to be contested, and usually by a bigger force than 12. Anything more and you typically get a target on your head and drama shoved down your throat. Hell we had a GM present themselves on the server for the first time in over a year because of Txevu drama caused by boxers being salty they got ran over by a guild force. I mean what did they expect was going to happen? It's FFA. I hope getting banned for a week or whatever was worth it.

GoD made having 12 (or 18 at the most) nice because you can do txevu minis and qvic minis with a very small force. There are a couple events like that in oow, but most of them will be heavily camped I'd imagine. Some of the easier mobs actually have some really awesome gear that guilds will be after.

It really depends on what guild you are in, what the /pick agreements will be between the guilds, and everything else.

I used to run up to 24 boxes on ragefire at one point, and am down to a static 6. I've found that getting gear on my boxes is incredibly easy. Most of them have items from Tacvi that have rotted from our main raids, and all of them are in full qvic/ikkinz group trial/KT gear.

Without knowing what your goals are, it's hard to say what you should do. Only you can decide what is best for you! :D

Thanks for the reply. Since the servers are down, I Figured I would post more detail about what I am doing. I really don't have a definite plan of what I want to do, but I kinda want to figure it out as I go.

so right now I am rolling a fresh group of new toons:

grp 1 - WAR / CLR / BRD / SHM / MNK / ZRK
grp 2 - SK / CLR / ENC / WIZ / MNK / ROG

I might even end up putting a cleric on the sk account, so that if I need a 3 cleric CH I could. not sure on that tho.

Right now, my main focus is going to be on gearing up the warrior and then working through progression as far as I can. to be honest, I keep missing PoP flagging, but that *should* go away with OoW AFAIK. BUT, I'm not really sure how far I can get with only 2 groups doing PoP content, even if I can get some qvic gear on my toons. Ideally, I would like to do the QVic on my main war/clr and then get the rest of the gear myself.

the other thing I am considering is to just pick one toon to join a raiding guild and then use the boxes to pick up raid rots etc. but if I go that route, I am not really sure that a 2nd group makes any sense - much like Ethereal mentioned.

Long story short, I am planning on putting at least 6 months into both groups, and hopefully I can determine what I can do or cannot do and go from there. Any suggestions on progression is appreciated.

with qvic gear you can do most of pop flagging ele planes would give you issues. Once qvic flagged start farming zoo encounter "if your able to get it from upper tier guilds". Time can be one grouped at qvic gear though innoruk gets interesting. As a sk with qvic gear I was able to solo the earth trial in potimeb but my sk could solo any of the trials at that point. Could try inktu'ta but it is rough but can drop augs from the trash mobs. Txe'vu you might be able to do minis and key rings but would need 4 clerics for chain beyond that.

yeah, flagging for qvic might be a hitch without a guild. It might be fun to try and see how far into PoP I can get, since nobody does it anymore anyways. appreciate the feedback!
