What is going to be the go-to camp(s)/items for when Velious hits Ragefire next month? I'm asking in reference to like the equivalent to what the Fungi Tunic was in Kunark launch. I was able to make enough off of that camp the first week of Kunark drop to cover my accounts for 12 months. There were several "good" camps that were in high demand, but nothing in comparison to the Fungis... Just wondering what that primo item/camp is going to be at the start of Velious as I can't remember that far back in time.

velks upper kobalds camp iirc, lute of the howler drops there, other one would be kael bank area, but nothing like the fungi... well pom the cards would be sought after

A guy in the raiding guild that I was in during Velious was farming Kael giants for armor drops by the arena(around where you would usually pull Vindi to).

He was 6-boxing with NTOV geared tank/cleric/chanter + 3 dps classes.
By his own admission he was making $3-4K a month as the demand for Kael armor was pretty big.

You had to MQ(multiquest) the drop that is go to Thurgadin to do the turnin then the guy who was getting armor would give the gems.

If i remember correctly he could get $300-500 for a BP such as this: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=4969

Even more insane would be farming ETOV armor drops. Those used to be done by smallish community raids or by casual guilds.

I imagine you do not need to be NTOV geared to do this anymore.

Kael armor will be the first to be hammered on as the faction for turn ins is by far the easiest. Get a couple King Tormax snipes in for a faction hits and you'll by ally to dwarves.

Skyshrine armor will be less contested but sell slower.

Lodizal (shell + map piece will be perma camped)

Stormfeather (perma camped)

Councelors in Thrugadin will be camped but plenty of them for anyone to get their alliance neck easily.

Velks (omg ... the Karnors of Velious) be train ready. Everyone will want Silver Chitin Handwraps.
Crystal Chitin everything
Dojo Axe
Lute of the Howler

If you can handle the Trash mobs in Sleepers once you have a key, gem drops are better than Crystal Caverns

Every Necro under the sun will try to camp Holgresh beads until it is nerfed.

Minor WW Dragons can be solo'd by Shamans so Small groups are capable as long as you have a slower that can take a hit.

Dragon Necropolis will be slammed with people farming 1:1 ratio weps.

Just my first glance thoughts

Wasn't Velious the noe with higher level armor you had to work faction perfectly to be indifferent with both the dwarves and giants or something? So long ago... <brain hurts>

Yeah, I thought I remembered something like that. As I recall the balancing act I remember struggling with was certain items were better for tanks on giant faction with others opposite and such to max out armor of the era.

I spent a lot of time back then on those.

On notes regarding the farming part which started this post... If my memory also serves, the clicky armor such as shrink boots etc were pretty popular and might be worth farming up. Everything velks was in demand and velium sold for a premium even three expansions later as "THE" go to for blacksmithing and TS armor making. I felt like I lived in Velk's forever. Oh, and don't forget to kill and farm BOB!
