For some reason my Shaman refuses to buff anyone but himself with Focus of Spirit

"Clicking > Focus of Spirit <" is all that is shown in the logs on screen.

Any advice

Rich (BB code):
[Buffs]
BuffsOn=1
Buffs1=Spirit of Wolf|MA
Buffs2=Focus of Spirit|melee
Buffs3=Talisman of the Brute
Buffs4=Talisman of the Cat
Buffs5=Cannibalize III|Mana|90|5
Buffs6=Resist Fire
Buffs7=NULL
Buffs8=NULL
Buffs9=NULL
Buffs10=NULL

All other members are in the raid and running KA on the same computer. He normally will only target himself. It's just weird that all other spells are "Buffing > xxxxx <" but this one "clicking".

I have tried removing the |melee tag and still nothing.

It's a weird one. I also have a problem where he won't seem to cast Malo either when I pull mobs. He'll slow but it's like Malo doesn't exist for him.

Am I right in saying. If I delete the buffs.ini file after x duration all character will report back their current buffs to that file. Then at a predetermined time the "buffers" parse that file and buff accordingly? And also parse for "XXX spell has worn off" if that option is enabled?

Just wanting to understand the buffing logic. I haven't had the time to get into the macro coding and take a look at it.

I am not sure if you have tried re-booting you computer yet or not, but I would give that a go if you haven't.

Yes you are correct about the Buffs.ini file. Writing to the Buffs.ini file is a 30 second timer. Reading from the ini file is set at 20 seconds as the default, but you can change it in the characters ini file under [Buffs] section. CheckBuffsTimer

As far as the spell worn off event working. Make sure the timestamp is turned off(/timestamp off). If you see the time at the beginning of every chat line, then turn it off. Having the timestamp on totally messes up Events in KA.

Anything I can do to debug? I've tried restarting

Regarding the time stamp. I just worked that out the other day. I always had it on and after turning it off because of

Bugger I fixed it by mistake!!

To run the debug I started with a fresh ini file, 2 melee and 1 shaman. Listed 2 buffs in the shaman ini file. One for everyone (fire resist) and Focus|melee. Unmem'd all my other spells and just mem'd Focus and FR.... and it works! Melee get Focus, everyone gets FR.

Revert back to the old ini file and remem spells as best I could in the same slots and... it still works!

No idea what changed. There was a small update installed when I downloaded mqlog but I run updates pretty much every 2-3 days just to check.

Weird one and a little annoyed I couldn't reproduce while logging. Now it just looks like I went mad.

LOL. I can understand why you might feel that way, but I have spent many an hour scratching my head trying to figure out an issue. Then after rebooting my computer everything works just fine. Just have to take a deep breath and say, WTF.
