I wanted to share how to powerlevel a character from 1 to 80 in under 5 hours. There might be better ways or even easier ways, if so feel free to share em in the thread.

Requirements
- Cleric ( min. lvl 89 )
- Magician or Druid ( Go for the highest DS possible )

As this relies on AE dmg spell/song, it will be the easiest to level up a bard together with your new toon, as they get Chords of Dissonance song at level 2 which is AE dmg.

How to do the powerleveling
  1. Park all 3+ character(s) close but in a safe spot, preferably next to a corner
  2. Equip non dmg items in Primary and secondary slots of the cleric
  3. Cast shining rampart/armor on the cleric and remove any DS on him/her
  4. Run around aggroing mobs without damaging them
  5. Run back to the safespot and stand in a corner if able
  6. Make sure Shining proc for a few seconds, and then have Mage/druid cast DS on cleric
  7. Have the new character cast AE dmg a few times until certain all most should be hit
  8. Wait until the mobs die from the DS
  9. Look at the nice amount of exp flowing in to the low level character.

Where to go and how

Lvl 1 to 16
Zone: Crescent Reach
There are many ways to accomplish the first 25 levels, but usually I use/recommend the following way:

  1. Create the new character(s) and choose starting city of Crescent Reach.
  2. Move to the starting area of that zone, where you will find mobs ranging from lvl2 to 25+
  3. Buff the level 1 character with the best HP and Damage shield available
  4. Pull mobs in a constant flow by keeping the new character healed with the cleric, make sure to do minimum 1 dmg before DS kills the mob

Lvl 16 to 25
Zone: Crescent Reach
  1. Move to the back of the newbie mob area of Crescent Reach
  2. Use the method described above to pull the undead mobs, they give great exp until lvl25

Lvl 25 to 51
Zone: Lower Guk
  1. Place characters in the top room of the live castle (see map, spot 6)
  2. Pull first the undead side with cleric, using the method described above
  3. Pull secondly the live side with cleric, using the method described above
  4. You should now be level 51

Lvl 51 to 57
Zone: The Steppes

Lvl 57 to 60
Zone: Dragonscale hills
  1. Setup group aprox. where it says Darvin on this map ( link )
  2. Pull from Middle field, upper left corner and the light house.

Lvl 57 to 70
Zone: Upper Vergalid mines
  1. Setup group right after the elevator to the left.
  2. Pull both left and right halls to this spot

Lvl 70 to 81
Zone: Lower Vergalid mines
  1. Setup at the spot where your transferred to when clicking the statue
  2. Place mage and PL character in on corner, and cleric in the other
  3. Depending on your cleric, they will now start to hit hard, so might need to split up in 2 pulls.
  4. Dont pull vergalid :)

Ill try and descibe placement better at a later time if anyone need more information

Slight amendment from me...

After Crescent Reach undead, move to Blightfire Moors at 20/ 21 to wasps east of zone. Reasonable quick repop. Two pulls should be enough for 28.
Move to StoneHive just east of wasps and run to the main hive. Pull entire first and second floor. Pull third if you fancy but not necessary as, again, repops quick. Stay until 40/ 41.
I then move my guys over to Crypt of Nadox - there are a number of square rooms off of a large square room that also takes you down to the docks. Using the same ds method, I pull the main room with the four smaller rooms. Second pull is the undead in the tunnels to the docks. Third pull is the luggalds north of the main room.
After all three pulls, it's only a few minutes before repops. If you have a loot macro, there are lots of star rubies, fire emeralds and sapphires plus the occasional blue diamond. Some of the other stackables go for 18p each so, again, worth looting for all the spells/ books you will need to buy for your newbie pl. You can even work on aa here but I prefer taking the group over to Acrylia Caverns where the zone is split into three pulls, the aas are stupid and, at the end of the third pull, there's a clickable tapestry that takes you back to the beginning where, if you are lucky, respawns. I do about 2-300 aas here and level up to about 59 before moving over to Crypt of Decay.

I just PL some one who has throw stone ability, take then to City of mist at lvl 1, and do that with my bard... works till about 50 and takes generally 3-4 hours.

and for a non throw stone class, you can shroud down

People still use clerics to PL... I always used Rangers and DS pulling. Probably faster than waiting for throw stone to refresh... I can get people about 5-10 levels a pull until they get up to 60... A few pulls and level 65 I can take them to feerrott and headshot.

PL'd 2 of my friends and an alt bard and sk to 80/500aa in 24 hours (dunno the actual /played) with my ranger. Shield/fire beetle eye/symbol of the overlord.

Did crescent to like 15, blightfire to 30, dranik to 50, pod to 55, cod to 63, then headshot in the coolingchamber (im 93)

How often do you guys stop and AA underway? do you max AA as much as you can while the char is still lowlevel?

we did 50% toward aa starting at 63. for some classes that cant solo too well, stopping low might make sense. but sooner I get my sk able to do visage pulls the better, I figure solo > being carried

eh, I waited till they were high enough to group with my max leveled character and just kissassist'ed afk exp, it went fast

As I STILL don't have a max level character over any of my accounts, I don't have the luxury of grouping with a 95 or 100, etc. sounds silly but I really love the 1-80 with aa grind... Listening to the toots and dings turns me on slightly. Unless anyone is willing to help me start up (cheers Teichou and Lanceval) with a free or plat based pl! Lol.

Have gone back to AB to pl a cleric which I'm then gonna play from 80 on Drinal...

Small update, did a wizard tonight, and used a slightly different route, but still the same tactic:

Level 1 to 12 - Hp buff, on newb, pull train, cast DS with druid, click of ds and rinse/repeat
Level 12 to 25 - Crescent Reach - Skellies in the back of the newbie area
Level 25 to 46 - Lower guk - Setup at the top of the tower, right below the DE mask camp. Pulled all of evil side in 1 go ( 13 levels aprox. ) then all of Live side, ding 46.
Level 46 to 55 - Plane of innovation - Followed the path to the right from Zone in, 3 pulls took me to 55, due to pathing bugs it took 3 pulls
Level 55 to 65 - Ruins of lxanvom(?) Bertox cave - 1 pull of the entire zone, ding 65
Level 65 to 72 - Vergalid mines upper - a few pulls
Level 72 to 80 - Vergalid mines lower - a bit more pulls than a few

Total time spent 4h 20min

Never tried this with cleric, usually I use a SK with DS just so he can keep AE aggro

Can the cleric keep aggro while the PL char does AE spells? no idea how shining rampant/armor works

Shining procs a stun/heal so aggro isn't an issue. I actually use an SK/Clr/Druid to PL just for shining.
