When did your problem start?
Been doing this ever since I learned how to beat Cactus
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Enchanter
How often does this issue occur?
Sometimes
Fell Foliage gets tricky at times because the enchanter keeps trying to mez the adds even though they've been added to the Info file.

Code:
[The Overthere: Fell Foliage_I]
MezImmune=a burgeoning succulent, a renegade succulent

Code:
[The Overthere]
MezImmune=a burgeoning succulent, a renegade succulent

The weird part is that it is not consistent from one run to another. If I notice the weed is dying slowly I find many times the chanter hasn't even began to dps because of trying to chain Delude on the adds.

When I think ahead a bit, I just disable all mezzing before I engage. But most times I forget to think ahead! :)

Are you sure the mobs are Mez Immune? What's the message you get when chanter tries to mez and fails? The Mez routine will ignore any mob that returns an Immune message after trying to mez.

We tried the Wild card feature one time for both pulling and mezzing, but there was an issue that wouldn't let us do it. I can't remember what the issue was, but I will look through my notes.

OK, so earlier today I did Cactiiki with the chanter's log turned on so that I could post the messages and wouldn't you know it... everything worked perfectly and the chanter didn't attempt to mez anything.

Then after the lockout I just tried again and the chanter tried to mez the "a renegade succulent". Note that it reports the target cannot be mesmerized! First here is the relevant messages from the Everquest log file:

Code:
[Sat Sep 01 20:50:15 2018] A monstrous succulent has been slain by a_random_pet!

[Sat Sep 01 20:50:18 2018] Cactiikii begins to cast a spell. <Shield of Needles>
[Sat Sep 01 20:50:22 2018] You begin casting Eradicate Magic.
[Sat Sep 01 20:50:23 2018] A burgeoning succulent is smashed by pieces of the Overthere.

[Sat Sep 01 20:51:15 2018] A renegade succulent begins to cast a spell. <Shield of Needles>

[Sat Sep 01 20:51:18 2018] You begin casting Delude Rk. II.
[Sat Sep 01 20:51:19 2018] Your target cannot be mesmerized.
[Sat Sep 01 20:51:19 2018] Your target resisted the Delude Rk. II spell.

[Sat Sep 01 20:51:24 2018] You begin casting Delude Rk. II.
[Sat Sep 01 20:51:26 2018] Your target cannot be mesmerized.
[Sat Sep 01 20:51:26 2018] Your target resisted the Delude Rk. II spell.

And here is the snippet from the MQ2 log file for that fight. And although the MQ2 log shows the use of an AE mez spell Perplexing Wave there is no evidence of it being cast in the Everquest log file.
Code:
[2018/09/01 20:50:21] <Chanter_box>  [20:50:21] MEZ Immune Detected -> a burgeoning succulent <- ID:12620
[2018/09/01 20:50:21] <Tank_box>  [20:50:21] TANKING-> Cactiikii <- ID:12618

[2018/09/01 20:51:16] [MQ2] I AM AE MEZZING Perplexing Wave Rk. II
[2018/09/01 20:51:16] [MQ2] I JUST CAST AE MEZ Perplexing Wave Rk. II
[2018/09/01 20:51:17] [MQ2] AE MEZZING-> Perplexing Wave Rk. II
[2018/09/01 20:51:17] <Chanter_box>  [20:51:17] AE MEZZING-> Perplexing Wave Rk. II
[2018/09/01 20:51:17] [MQ2] MEZZING-> a renegade succulent <- ID:12691
[2018/09/01 20:51:17] <Chanter_box>  [20:51:17] MEZZING-> a renegade succulent <- ID:12691

[2018/09/01 20:51:24] [MQ2] MEZZING-> a renegade succulent <- ID:12691
[2018/09/01 20:51:24] <Chanter_box>  [20:51:24] MEZZING-> a renegade succulent <- ID:12691

[2018/09/01 20:51:28] [MQ2] SLAIN >> Cactiikii <<

The mob "a renegade succulent" is in the Mezimmune section of the zone ini file. And the EQ log is reporting that it can't be mesmerized although it uses the phrasing "Your target" rather than explicitly stating which mob cannot be mezzed. It is interesting that the burgeoning succulent is reported immediately as being Mez Immune at the same time it spawned but there is no message to that effect for the renegade.
