There was a thread started in Private discussion I'm taking off from it and hopefully passing along an idea that could be programmed as a macro.

Even if it can't be made into a macro, you could still basically "position" your pet with the mob and then summon him back to you in the following manner.

I think the reason he asked is he is looking to be able to warp his pet TO the mob not from the mob. No need to warp a pet from the mob when you can just summon him. Being able to warp your pet TO a mob on the other hand, could be very useful lol.

Well, if you've got no lag and good reflexes you could do this in any scenario.
Make sure summon companion is memmed.
Make a button called "Pet Park" -
/pet hold
/pet guard

Now position the pet. (maybe a macro could measure the distance to halt the attack command) Use the commands -
/tar namer
/pet attack (If no l.o.s., watch your map for loc of pet vs. namer, once pet is close enough, press the "Pet Park" button you made above.)

At this point the pet is positioned exactly where you need and has no agro. When you're ready, begin casting summon companion, being prepared to hit a button like -
/pet attack
/pause 3
/pet back
/pet follow
/pet hold

So long as you aren't so far from the mob that the pet looses agro this should work.
