Using a summoned pet, have the pet attack a mob while you stand well out of it's zone. When and if the pet dies, the MOB regains full health and ignores you until it is completely "encounter reset". I can make this happen every time, and it does give a good little amount of time where the MOB will ignore you and everyone else.
This is good for two reasons.
If you can manage to get out of it's zone but still are able to attack it, you can attack yellow/orange mobs that you're not sure if you can take or not. If all fails and your pet dies, the mob will run after you but will go back to default as soon as it reaches the edge of it's zone.
Also, a red MOB with 2 up arrows can be successfully circumvented with use of good timing and your pet. It may come in handy on some quests or missions and could have group uses as well.
