Problem - Pet assist while medding

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if a new feature is needed, but my mage pet does not assist the tank until I start attacking the target. This doesn't work so well when I'm out of mana and medding. It would be nice if the pet will have a seperate assist value so I can set that in the INI. The pet can still attack during combat while I'm medding. Thanks.

Assisting while medding, even sending in just your pet, drops you out of fast med mode 100% in 3 min. There for it is not supported
