Strategy - PEQ Server

Anyone out there play on the Peq server. Or did you ever in the past.
Is it similar to classic everquest, such as P99 and P2002?
I read their forums but seemed a bit confusing I guess , since I don't know the basic concept of the server.
I know servers like Hidden Forest and EZ are like completely different games than EQ.
I was curious what the concept is for PEQ and why did folks stop placing RMT ads for PEQ a while ago ?

PEQ's main goal is to provide a live like database and quests. Mainly PEQ is vanilla PEQ. Currently some OoW stuff is opened. Boxing with MQ2 is allowed within reason. (no active hacks, certain vanilla MQ2 stuff like /target are detected just like base EQEmu, but the GMs will act on you abusing it)

How come all the RMT ads are outdated ? Why did folks stop buying and selling ?
