I noticed that on the MQ2 site they have a source zip dated 6-12-06? Why was MQ2 updated the day before the patch? Does it work with new patch already?

They are fixing bugs all the time, they know that a lot of people will compile once (the first or second source available after the patch) then not go back till the next patch.

this happens because usually when you disassemble the eqgame.exe after the patches the date that you find in it is usually a few days earlier then he pattch was. probably had it labeled to that and not the actual patch date

You forgot to add that this is a lot of changes, so add another 2 days of patching for the patches. /sigh I needed a break from EQ anyway.

Funny theres a test server that really doesnt do much other than give SOE a place to pretend to test things that will break main servers anyway. So patch the patch that patched original problem that has been a problem for 7-8 yrs anyway.

For some reason my download keeps stoping /sigh then i push cancel then download again it finally got done but just more broke stuff

You missunderstood the "sin and live" of test server !

Its only for checking - right colours - sound effects and background sounds -
good looking gfx - testing new potions ...

thats all
