Server needs more people to play on it, or they could just go ahead and merge green with blue like they had initially planned when they announced it years ago. I recall playing when the content was live on retail back in the day. Could get Orc Fang Earrings for 15p a pop. They've been selling for 300-500 a pop. Torpor is insanely expensive, as are Bane of Nife and Pox of Bertoxxulous (spelling?).

Just felt the need to rant. Sorry guys.

Change the economy? Start a movement. A revolution.

Eh...I've played there a little. Not all that keen on it. I got bored with retail EQ b/c I was able to use KA and not really have to do much else. Now my toons are rotting lol. While I enjoy the use of MQ2, I like the challenge of not being able to use it when playing. As much as I dislike the economy of P99, I'm gonna keep playing there.

Thats what happened to me with FFXIV. I love FFXIV, probably the best modern MMO (in my opinion). I have played it since launch of ARR. Being able to use MMOMinion to automated nearly everything has made me "efficient" the fun out of it all. I can maximized everything by just not interacting with it at all, since I am not as fast of efficient as a machine.

I do like Project 2002 aka Wayfarers Haven. You can box 3 at once and have a dedicated baz mule. MQ2 isn't allowed. Sadly, they just don't have the population either. Granted, the community is quite friendly.

I played there for about a year, had an absolute blast.
Hazel was/is a big figurehead in the community as far as making people feel welcome and generally being friendly.
The Devs were pretty chill as well.
I liked breaking the MQ2 habit there, actually playing all three characters. I ended up finding a working MQ2 compile and it ruined my fun funnily enough. I spent more time making scripts to automate my characters then playing and realized I just wasn't as into it anymore.

I am assuming you are talking about the Progression - true box servers

If So,

Sorry to say, but those things you mentioned is going to be expensive and stay expensive until expansions open up. It was the same when Everquest first started, this is the whole Premise of those servers. Basically go back in time and play Everquest in its RAW form. ( no boxing, no mercenaries, Heavy grouping and slow grind EXP )

Now you need to understand that this is designed like this and probably when people get bored of the regular servers, they jump to the True-box servers to kill time and play for the hell of it. Plus do not forget , the weather is good and people doing other stuff outside with vacations and seasonal work.

So Buck up and stay tough , just keep playing through the low population for now

project 99 is an emu server, it is not an official daybreak TLP like you think.

You've been a member of this site since 2018. How do you not know what P99 Blue is?

I haven't played on P2002 as much as I'd like to. I'm not a big fan of starting over. My trio there is around level 15, so nothing big. Sadly, I've put too much time into my characters on P99 to just stop playing them.

I am the opposite.
I love starting over, fresh. The struggle of leveling or questing is awesome to me. Not just EQ. Actually probably least of all in EQ. Just most games in general.
Starting fresh always is the most interested I am in a game, and as I near end game with max stats, skills, spells, gear, etc the threats go away and it's just me/my team being murder machines. The struggle is gone.
