Ok, so...

I can have as many accounts on p99 as I want but I can only play one at a time? Is this correct? I ask this because my wife and I are going to play together and get a two account exemption. Say we have a bard and a cleric and the third account is a druid. I could log off the bard and port the cleric or vis versa? Just as long as we only ever have no more then 2 accounts on at once?

What you're saying is correct .

Its OK to have multiple accounts/characters as long as one person is only playing one at a time. Multiboxing is not allowed.

I would mention your third account in your petition just in case the account needs an IP exemption too. You won't get in trouble for having many accounts as long as they're played one at a time per computer per person

Just a PSA: If you log into 2 at a time just to simply transfer an Item, and they suspect it was just you with an ip exemption, you will get banned. They are witch hunters and will spend days and days on logs to keep their server the way they want. On top of that they will wait 6 months to watch and catch as many as they can per ban wave.

Yup, I understand. I want to make sure im playing by the rules. Thanks for the heads up.

They are pretty fast sometimes with bans. During a group i had we almost wiped and guy from groups says he will log his friend cleric to rez 1-2 members. He didnt log out on the grouped toon and took him 2 mins to run cleric to camp and clicky corpses then buff the group. At that point GM was already at the spot insta killing the 2 boxed chars and ban hammering them.

Did the guy who got banned , login the Cleric from another computer or from the same computer?
If you use two accounts and two computers , how would the GM's notice in that situation ?
And what about when it's legit you and your relative playing two computers. Both you on separate computers.
One power levels the other. So lots of standing around doing nothing in game.
Do GM's travel looking for suspicious activity ?
If they see this situation. How do you prove you are not one person and two computers ?
I read horror stories of guys claiming they were playing with a friend but GM insisted it was two accounts and one computer.
But I also hear most people who get banned for boxing. Claim they are not boxing on same computer. But are.
Just curious what happens if it's really two computers but one of you is just sitting there tossing occasional heals.
Then GM approaches.
How do you prove you are legit ?
How do you prove you are not sitting alone with two computers ?
I recall in the real 1999 classic everquest, you could box using two computers.
But I respect the GM's rule. Their server.
I was just curious joe you can prove it's two separate people sitting next to each other with two computers.
Just sitting and tossing occasional heals on the other toon can be suspicious.
Rules are fine. I respect them
But there needs to be a way to avoid being falsely accused if you are innocent.
But yes, if guilty then like Baretta says;
"Don't do the crime , if you can't do the time".

If you use two accounts and two computers , how would the GM's notice in that situation ?
when 1 person is playing on 2 computers, observation.

And what about when it's legit you and your relative playing two computers. Both you on separate computers.
Thats what they are checking on now and again.

Do GM's travel looking for suspicious activity ?
Yes, both visible and non.

If they see this situation. How do you prove you are not one person and two computers ?
You don't, when they swing the ban hammer, you get hit. It is after all their server, and for free.

Just curious what happens if it's really two computers but one of you is just sitting there tossing occasional heals.
If the GM(s) feel you are doing that, you get banned.

Usually the bans come in when you log in multiple accounts on the same computer with the ip exemptions. If you've got the ip exemptions and have the accounts active on separate computers and are smart(as in saying i have a buddy that can port us let me text them. Then you log on your porter on the other machine and port your group.) you won't trigger anything to make them look at you. I've been laying blue 99 for years and thats how i got away with it.

friend of mine with exemption him and his wife got ported away the other day to a place and were made to run figure 8 in opposite directions around a fountain.
i agree that wouldn't be easy as one person with 2 computers
