Question - No 3D devices found

After the recent updates I have lag hell especially when the window isn't active. Now I am getting an error message "No 3D devices found". I swapped my video card from my second box and I still have the same problem. Any idea what can be done to solve this?

Comps:

Main: Intel i5 with a brand new (a few months old) GTX 1050 Ti 4gig (this is the rig with problems) {This 4 core runs faster than my 6 core} I run 4 toons on this rig never any problems until the other day. Now if I run just one and open Very Vanilla it lags and when I close the instance I get that msg.

Secondary: AMD Phenom II X6 1090t with an older vid card AMD HD 5700. I run 2 to 4 on this one, have ran 6 toons with no problems, all on 5GHz xfinity wireless with no problems.......Still no problems runs great with either video card .

Id like to run MQ2 on both rigs but now when I do it gives me these problems and they weren't an issue just a few days ago.

I might add this only happens when I try to run very vanilla or have it already open. If I don't load it I have no problems.... Trying to log back in I just got another "No 3D devices found"

Any thoughts ?

Please and thank you.

Off the top of my head....

Does the "No 3D device" happen both with and with out MQ? or only with MQ? (I realize you more or less said it was an MQ only thing, but just confirming if yu tried playing for a time with out MQ to make sure it isn't an EQ thing or PC thing)
Standard "check graphics drivers update" of course
Standard "run windows update, check update log for issues" of course
Standard "reboot machine, cold start" of course

There have been a few folks having issues with particular plugins so, if the above doesn't work and it is strictly a MQ thing, try disabling all plugins except MQ2IC (that one is the "DBG can't see me" plugin) and try again. This will tell us if its a MQ engine issue or not.

If you know it is a MQ issue, and loading basically just the engine doesn't cause you issues, while you are ingame, start loading 1 plugin at a time. After you load a plugin in, move around some, zone some... in other words give it time to cause a problem if that plugin is going to happen. If everything appears to be working right... load another plugin. Rinse and repeat until you have problems, report which plugin you just loaded if you run into a problem. (Helpful if you unload and reload it a few times to verify it is THAT plugin, and you can duplicate the issue. That gives the fixit guys someplace to start looking and something to work with)

Yes sir, it only happens when I load MQ. When I don't I can run the 4 instances NP.

Thanks for the advice, when I get home later ill definitely try it out.

Thank You

*EDIT*

All been done two to three times for redundancy )

So it must have been a plugin you had loaded, i'll see if I can recreate it with a full deck loaded.

Good deal Dabzz, hate to have anyone experience premature hair loss on a holiday weekend =)

I still get that intermittently when using nav... but all it takes is a quick reboot, and it goes for weeks before it happens again..
