So I have bought the subscription to Red Guides to be able to use this awesome feature! My question is will this program allow me to box 6 accounts at once without having to buy other software or do I still need to use something else to be able to fully play an entire group? I love the idea of playing my own group and doing current expansion stuff, however, I do not want to have to constantly switch over to six different screens all the time. I will be starting them all at level 1 of course but I am curious if this software will will do the trick for 6 boxes consisting of:

SK, druid, bard and still trying to decide on last three.

If this is not the forum for this please delete I just didnt know where to post it at and ask my question.

Thank you

Welcome back to EQ and welcome to Redguides!

check out the RG starter vids > HERE < can be 6 boxing in 30m or less!

straight outta da box RG VV will allow you to play 6 to 666666 toons at once. you can build your own kissassist .ini's/DL ones others have built.

there are things you can purchse from individuals here that will ASSIST in making the multi boxing easier. Such as CWTN/Sic MQ2Eskay its basically a plug n play shadowknight plugin

for the 3 you have linked, rgmerc would proly be best for druid and bard till you start getting higher level. rgmerc works ok for SK going up through levels.

I would say starting hitting some of the sections here and watch the vids, they will DEF help you pick and choose what will help you the most.

(For a large part of them you can simply look at Sic [above] his signatur has a ton of links to vids where he shows you different things and steps on how to maximize them)

MQ2EQWire might be the only thing you have to purchase to run 6 toons smoothly. It is a program that manages your processor so each game instance doesn’t hog resources. I have an older machine and without it 3 toons was a nightmare. With it, 6 is no problem. Outside if that, there are plenty of paid plugins and macros but I wouldn’t bother with them until you get your feet wet for a bit.

welcome and good luck!

Welcome Back,

So I am only a few weeks back myself and thought I would try to add some things from a newer person perspective. First off, watch those videos Sic posted. Those helped a ton. They made the setup process smooth. Second, I actually took a notepad and started righting commands down that you will use frequently that I would forget, like( /bccmd reconnect on ) . I found that having a few of these written where I could easily see them, made the process of loading each toon up simpler.

Then as far as macro/plugins. RGmercs was really simple for me to setup and start 6 boxing for someone with little experience in this field.

All in all, welcome back and I hope being on this site helps you enjoy the game more. I know it has been a big help for me.

Thank you all, I have been struggling with it, but slowly learning. I guess my main issue now is getting my Bard to act right and twist the songs I want when I want them. I am getting it though. I currently switched over to eq2mule and have found it to be a nice setup/macro/plugin. These guides have brought back a lot of fond memories of this game when I started around the release of Kunark.

I find it funny how after all these years I can still find my way around the old world zones and such.

Anyways, thank you all for the thoughts and ideas
