Hi,
tried to shroud down to do a ldon today and lost my merc since i had no pp on the shroud.
so i figured, why not shroud down to lvl 5 and hire a merc for cheap, and unshroud again.
After i typed /remove in front of the shroud-npc i got a box telling me to upgrade my merc from lvl 5 to lvl 85 for 9.5k pp, clicked yes and got a yellow emote saying:You succeeded in upgrading your mercenary by paying a level upgrade cost from level 5 to level 85 of 94626 gold.
But i had no pp on my shroud, so i thought, the money might be taken from the unshrouded toon, but i was wrong, no money was missing. So here's your free merc.
Repeated it twice, worked both times
maybe someone out there can confirm if this works for you as well
step-by-step:
-shroud to level 5 wizard (hail one of the shroud-npc's in PoK)
-hire a merc for 0pp, can dismiss as often as you want to get a good name
-unshroud (/remove with shroud-npc in target)
-click yes to accept the upgrade
-you are lvl 85 or whatever again, the merc is still lvl 5
-simply suspend the merc
-wait 5 minutes
-call your merc
-voila
update: make sure you have enough plat on you BEFORE you shroud, and no plat on the shroud (thx to stdage for that info)
