Sorry for the bother, but for some odd reason, I can't get any macros to work. I'm new to this and still trying to learn. I've done what was said in the other threads " copy & paste, save as name.mac and placed in macro folder" and in the game I do a /macro slipgear.mac and in comes up saying "couldn't open macro file: J\My Documents 2\Misc Programs\Everquest\Macro\Macros\slipgear.mac" Am I doing something wrong, or a way to fix this?
Thank you,
DX

currently running TheZ v4[1].30 and renamed the folder Macro (just easier for me to remember)
Program is on J: instead of C: because thats the hard drive I perfer to save my misc programs.
I DID however place the macro in the folder Macros, and still doesnt work

DX

Well I for one wouldnt stick it in the Everquest directory no matter what since they do scan that folder.

Try nameing your macroquest foolder something beside macro, maybe thats screwingit up. rename it to say "MQ" perhaps in your root directory J:\MQ\Macros\slipgear.mac

Actual everquest game is located in C:\programfiles\sony\everquest
C=main hardrive
misc programs I normally place them in a J:\my documents 2\misc
J=another internal harddrive( I use this for more space, since I download alot, thus C=250gigs and J=300gigs) primary programs I keep on [C], and misc programs, videos, and music on [J]
with this in thought, I created another folder named "Everquest" just so that I can keep ather programs related to EQ (MQ2, PoPflag parsor, ect.)

I have downloaded "NDawg's Compile 4/19/06" & "TheZ v4.XX (Works with 4/19/06 patch)"

I first tried "NDawg's Compile 4/19/06", certain things didnt work for me, like mq2superduperreallygettospeed, and mq2levitate. I tried to load the slipgear macro, and it didn't open the folder. I then tried "TheZ v4.XX (Works with 4/19/06 patch)", and mq2superduperreallygettospeed worked like a charm. This folder Didn't have mq2levitate or mq2gmcheck. I didn't copy and paste the levitate, but I did copy and paste mq2gmcheck, and that worked fine. I tried to try the slipgear macro again, and still didn't work=(...Directions I followed were from "EQ Underground 2.2"
I did over and over and still don't work. when I save as, I'm saving as slipgear.mac
I will change my folder from Macro and rename MQ2, like was said and see if that works.
Again, sorry, I'm still learning and appreciate all your help.

just asking, but are you saving it as a .mac file? If you are just copy and pasting from notepad, it will paste it as a text file unless you choose "all files" then when giving the file a name, put .mac on the end of it
Thank you Army for pointing me to the right direction. I changed the file save to a "all files" and notice the icon looks like the others :)

As for your current errors, you probably either copied wrong, or cut some stuff out *shrug*
