Question - MQ2 kills the framerate of non active EQ windows for me, any idea why?

For instance, if I am running ISboxer and I have all my windows open on my second monitor everything is fine. I see them with perfect framerate even when they are not active.

THe moment I run MQ2 the non active windows are incredibly choppy. I'm doubting it has to do with my machine being good enough. I can run 21 instances of EQ without lagging, even with MQ2 running, I just can't have non active windows with good fps if MQ2 is running, the moment I switch to those windows, they are fine.

Even if I only have 2 windows open and I'm not using Isboxer, once I run MQ2 the window on my second monitor will be incredibly choppy and unviewable the FPS dips so low, but without MQ2 running I can run 12+ windows with no visual FPS drops on non active windows.

Hey lizard i got to it first back down. No redcents for you.

omg guys!! I literally have been killing myself trying to figure out why my clients have been "laggy" (just like OP) and I happen to stumble on this thread and it WORKS!!! you guys are a lifesaver.. thank you so much!

Just thought I would let yall know that the /plugin mq2fps unload still works.<3<3<3<3<3<3 ;-*;-*;-*

I came across this thread looking for a solution. i did not have that plugin loaded. the fix was in the ini file under [FrameLimiter]. i set Enable=0, saved it, then unloaded and reinjected and the windows didnt lose framerate in the background anymore.

you bumped a thread from the old legacy mq2 which didn't have framelimiter 10 years old

limiting your baxkground frames is going to make your background frames limit what is shown, you can disable it if you want to not use it
