When did your problem start?
NA
Character Role?
  1. Puller
What class is having this issue?
  1. Bard
How often does this issue occur?
Sometimes
Afternoon All. I did a quick search in KA forums and didnt see the answer I was looking for. Sorry if I missed it and it's been covered already.

I main a Bard, and on occasion end up with an add either due to my not paying attention or a repop as I run by. Bards have ways to deal with adds, both single and AoE. The issue I run into atm is this. When I switich targets with the Bard to mezz the add, KA picks up on that and everyone switches targets. I am guessing I would need to alter the line TargetSwitchingOn in melee to stop this?
[Melee]
AssistAt=99
MeleeOn=0
FaceMobOn=1
MeleeDistance=75
StickHow=snaproll rear
AutoFireOn=0
UseMQ2Melee=1
TargetSwitchingOn=0
PetTauntOverride=1

The above is from my Mage, who pettanks, hence the Taunt=1
Thanks
Kat

Is your mage set as MA? And is your bard running in Puller mode with the mage targeted when you start the macro? In that condition your group will follow the mage's lead and not the bard. Thus allowing the bard to change targets to cast a mez.

The TargetSwitchingOn=0 parameter only works on the MA and allows that character to manually switch among multiple targets. But the rest of the group is going to follow that lead eventually.

If you want to keep your bard as both Puller and MA, I think your only option would be to manually cast an AE mez song while leaving the engaged mob on target. Which is tricky because once KA is playing your Melody it can be difficult to force play another song. But if you spam it often enough it should eventually get done. I could visualize creating an in-game social button that would

1. /mqp on
2. /melody (melody with no parameters just stops an existing melody!)
3. /stopsong
4. /cast AEMez
5. /mqp off

You'd then have to click that button manually when you needed to mez a mob in camp.

Before I did some serious tinkering with the Shammy to get the heals the way I wanted, I did change the MA for the Shammy to the pettank to make sure the Shammy healed the pettank first, everyone else second. I suppose I could re-write the macro I did so the group targets the mage pet as MA and then launch KA. This would allow the group to stay on target, and the Bard could change as needed for Mezz. I have a call assist macro with the Bard to change targets as needed. I think(?) that might solve the issue?
