Question - Maximum XP for new toon?

So I have added a 5th account thanks to double XP weekend ...

I started a mage. My other four guys are fully maxed in XP and AA.

I am using KA9 to grind.

I was thinking: Once my mage can do some appreciable damage, would it make sense to group him with my wizard only (2 man group)? I assume they would do the most damage and thus get the XP only divided between two toons versus 5 or 6 if I have caster merc for more damage.

Feedback from the pro's be appreciated!

Remember the full group bonus, even if you have to split them up and use mercs. Also remember fellowship vitality.

So I would be better off with a full group than a group of 2 getting all of the XP?

I've got them fellowshipped, but I don't have enough toons to make two full groups. I could make one group of 6 and one group of 5 with mercs.

Put together a group of max toons and use them to provide fellowship sharing to the second group. Vitality is incredible. The full group bonus is nice but even without that the increase in XP to the second group is tremendous... I figure it about triples the amount of XP per kill.

Yeah...I'm not quite there yet, but I can certainly see that working nicely.

Do you gain vitality in the max group by gaining XP?

IE: you would want the max group to be killing and gaining XP while the non max group was being fed their vitality.

How is that (or is it) different than having my guy in a group full of capped toons?

The guy gaining vitality must be in different group. Run two groups, one capped (max xp and max AA) the second group is the guys you want to feed the vitality too. Level is irrelevant, as long as everyone is gaining XP and are in the same fellowship with sharing enabled.

group 1- max level/aa's - killing and attempting to gain xp, shares their xp with the fellowship.
group 2 - lower alts needing level/AA's - gain vitality from the fellowship, increasing their XP gains from killing, appears to be about tripled.

For best results if you can do it have one alt gaining vitality in each group and the rest of each group capped (max level/aa's).

For best results the group receiving the vitality should be full group. I just tried putting one alt in each group instead of both in full group and both alts suffered a loss of actual xp.
