Problem - Magician Elemental Form aas

Using-

Buffs5=Elemental Form: Earth

Does not do anything on the mage, if I change earth to Water it works everytime, but any other form is very rare he would cast it ??

I tried he following-

Buffs5=Elemental Form: Earth (casts it on rare occasiions)
Buffs5=Elemental Form: Earth|dual|Elemental Form: Earth (no cast)
Buffs5=Elemental Form: Earth|ME (no cast that I've seen)

AA activation code is 63

1) The short duration buff name is NOT "Elemental Form: Earth" .. its "Elemental Form"
2) Testing now using "Buffs5=Elemental Form: Earth|dual|Elemental Form"

It does not work fyi, its a 2 part spell 1 part is the illusion, (elemental form) other is the actual effect (Elemental Form: Earth) which is visible on my buff bar, by that name.
I block the illusion so I can use this on mounts too....

Its a short duration buff icon called "elemental form".

The "elemental form: earth" buff icon from BUFFS window disapears after 10 seconds.......... and is NOT what should be checked against for the effect name in the dual format of the buff.

I have max aa level on that.. 6/6 so I do not know if any lower level of the aa handles/displays differently.

And what I posted works perfectly on my mage.

I did however test it in kissassist 8.0, so i will go back and test under 7.6.7 and re-confirm.




Also ... you can't block the illusion and expect it to cast.....
You only get the benefits of the form.. while the short duration buff is active.... so if you are blocking "Elemental Form"... then this will not cast/work/benefit you at all.

Yeah.. it sucks you can't use a mount in that form... but that's the trade off.
Unblock "Elemental Form" if that exact buff is blocked... and re-attempt/report back.

Actually... also check aftger unblocking the illusion... that needs to be tested as well.

Strange it lasts 1 hour on my mage.. and I block the illusion so I can use it on mounts.

Ok, I think I found the problem.

When I got mount blessing buff up it wont cast it, however there are no stacking issue with the 2 spells at all, but maybe mq2cast see it that way ??

That's very odd.

I did it several times while testing.... and the buff effect of "Elemental Form: Earth" only stayed up for 10 seconds.
I had dropped every buff that might have effected it.. as seen in my effect and song windows.

Nice work testing it though... leave it to SOE to not allow the casting while having beneficial mount blessing buff active.

If nothing else.. this serves as good information for others with similar problems.

And in answer to "Why do you always close those threads if I may ask?":
I do it to not allow others to add comments or additional information (after a resolution is found/posted) that may confuse or detract from the initial problem's resolution.

In case i didn't mention it .... which obviously i didn't... the REASON why it is failing with the mount blessing buff on.... is because it fails at conditional check if it stacks.

They won't stack.. so it does not cast it while that mount blessing is active.

So either drop the mount blessing.. or block it. But as long as it is active.. the elemental form will not cast.
