There seem to be several pathing bugs in Loping Plains. The first one I found is at the eastern part of the gator camp. Just pull a gator (a restless alligator), then head up either wall. The gator will wander around down below you and can't hit you.
Same goes for one of the worg camps. Pull worgs and head up the north wall at -1226, 191.
Obviously these work best with ranged toons, and snare does help alot as well.
