My comment above wasn't about the ethic's or legality of running MQ2. It's a voilation of the EULA, and you can be banned for it. The fact is SoE can ban you for anything they want. That's not the topic here.
My comment was simply that if a plugin were released to the general public that allowed anyone to loot items off of any players corpse, the resulting asshat'ry would bring a lot more negative attention (and additional scrutiny) to the MQ2'ers than any of us want.
It's not about being LESS wrong, it's about keeping the community in general as low profile on the SOE radar as possible.
