An Idea you might wish to look into (taken from someone else here) is using the Shamans HoT as an Aura:

Buffs21=Shear of Renewal|Aura

It will basically try to keep that buff up, casting it whenever it falls, but more or less keeping it on everyone so they should have it at the beginning of every fight (the puller may miss the casting at times).

As a puller who's sometimes tagging a lot of mobs just to pull one out of the pack, I'm not sure I'd want a group HoT hitting me while doing that.

Very understandable...it is more s situational based on group makeup and area.
