I suppose this is really more a strategy than an exploit, but here it is.
1) Log on with all your old accounts TODAY, type /claim, and get your Legacy promo items.
2) Go the the baz and buy up the "cheap" promo armor for your class and level. For a 70 character, it would be "Elaborate Defiant..." something or other. Some of the promo armor is not an upgrade for the average player, therefore is selling cheap right now, and some is. In my case, on all of my characters, the chest and leg slots were the only ones that were upgrades. Buy up each item on the cheap, leaving you with NO LEGS or CHEST of the Promo Armor.
3) NOW put your freebie legacy armor "packages" in a top inventory slot and rt. click them. The sploit-ish thing is that the claim code has built-in dupe detection. In other words. Buy the crappy "Elaborate Defiant" armor that you can find in the baz for cheap before you rt. click the gift boxes. That means buying ALL 3 wrist items, etc. THEN claim your armor gifts and you will automatically get those slots that you don't already have in your inventory somewhere. You don't have to attune your Baz purchases, just have them in your inventory.
In my case, I was able to get Legs and Chest~~every time~~on all my accounts that way. In fact, I handed off my Wiz Chest to another character, then clicked my third armor box and got a second chest piece. The chest and legs are worth more, therefore this is an almost-exploit for resale purposes. You can now attune/equip your free armor, or you can sell it knowing that you "randomly" got the most valuable pieces possible.
Have fun. You don't have to convert your gift armor boxes today, but I believe that you DO have to /claim the Legacy satchel today. Use it or lose it, according to what I have gathered from the promo discussions.
