Notice lag been dragging you down lately? Basically whats causing it is slopply programming on the part of soe. They are dumping all the error Mesgs from the new auras into a text file called dbg.txt. The fix is simply block eq from writing to it, by changing it into a read only file.
First Step explore My Computer and browse to your C:\Program Files\Everquest file location (or equivalent if you have installed EQ to a different partition ect). Next expand the Everquest folder and find the Logs Folder and open it. Right click on the dbg.txt file and choose Properties from the menu. In the Properties windows first tab there is a check box marked Read Only check this and then click OK or Apply then Ok to save the change. That’s it close the explorer window and execute the EQ short cut and log in =P.
