Now that things have settled down on Ragefire from Kunark being open for a few months and the population dispersed a bit with Phinny server coming about, I'm curious as to what are some of the better camps for farming plat in this era?

The super profit camps like Fungi Tunic/staves has now all but bottomed out for their value. I have a full group of 6x 60s and looking to find some type of camp(s) to really utilize my 6-man group setup for maximizing my plat/hour. If camping a spot or area that requires all 6 is best, great. If I need to split up to multiple spots on different toons, that works to. Just really trying to get an idea of what is working well in the current economic conditions in the current Kunark era.

AFK farming?
If your talking straight up cash, there isn't alot. Could try Frontier Mountains giant fort. Fast respawns, and the possible forest loop. note..use pull with pet for best results.

Sellables: Droga/Nurga. names. The gobbys drop good cash too.

If empty, Chanselors chamber in sarnaks fort in LOiO.

Decent spell drops and some gem drops in skyfire, NE corner near BW ZL...again, use pull with pet for best results.

Driving ...
Old Sebilis, several good froglok camps.

Howling Stones, Just running the gambit around.

Chardok, Just before royals iz ok, Royals area goodcif can handle them, or down past Herbalist camp at the slavers.

Problem is still, the TLP world is to small. Dont farm AFK where others want to xp/farm. Find an spot where no one goes, yes thats not easy but there are a very few.

Thanks for the insight, guys. Doing the camps due to population isn't an issue as I never fully AFK. However, the camps that don't involve me having to drive to actually pull is what I'm after so I can watch tv while keeping an eye on the team.

Also Meistro, what's the big benefit of using pet pull? I've never really used pet to pull since I have a 6man group. Additionally, could you show an example of a proper pet class INI for pulling long range outdoors as an example? Much appreciated as usual.

pet pulling allows you to pull around objects, the pet will run around stuff, thru doors, etc, where a spell will give you LOS errors...If KA can target it, you can probably pull it (it is slightly slower than spells or arrows, but I've had great luck in hilly, obstical riddin terrain).
TLP - Mage, SK, Necro, Shaman ( any class that has a controllable pet)

But it does require the toon to run out close to mob then send pet in right? Or are you referring to a way that the char stays in camp and can send the pet out 300+ range out to pull mobs?

Your Char still runs out part way to pull mob, just as if using a spell or bow. The difference is if you drop in a dip, or you mob is behind a table or corner which blocks Line Of Sight, th pet can still pull (albet slightly slower), and can even pull thru the spell blocking surface of water if necessary.

I've used to manually pull even before I used MQ2. Al. you need is to target the mob and get close enough for the pet to be able to engage. Set up your retreat (can even set pet to guard (live) and go back to camp). When ready, send in pet. As soon a it engages, back it off (then I summon (again, live server)) and then bring mob back to camp.

Caution: Strong DPS pets (Bst, Mage) can sometimes do enough damage to a summoning mob on 1st strike to get you summoned (is why I prefer SK, Shm, or even the Dru baby bear, Boo Boo).

All I can tell you is it is an option better than pull with melee, and can definitely open new camp choices.

Sebilis is a decent place with all the gem and spell vendor loot plus each type of frog has its own rare drop. so you hae the chance to hit a jackpot with loot and the exp is decent for low 50s.

For pure cash and vendor trash loots im going to test out castle mistmoore. they drop a lot of stackables and armor pieces(fine steel and bronze) that can add up if you have lot of bag room. there is also a npc vendor next zone over in lfay to sell the loots.

Recently I've been slaughtering juggs. they drop spells like candy that vendor for 30-50pp each. you get some good spells to sell to players, but you're mainly after the shitty spells to stack up to sell to the vendor.

i setup just outside of the locked door that leads to reets. so i kill the 4 juggs that spawn near the gate near the shrooms, 5 juggs just after the locked door and another 3-5 juggs towards trak's lair. there are also about 8 froglok reets right in the area that you could pull for more decent loot

again, this is mainly to sell the spells right to the vendor for instant plat. you'll probably get 10 copies of VoG that players would commonly buy but instead of waiting around to find 10 players to buy them all, just vendor the spells and get back to fighting.

if ur group is strong enough you can even pull protector/tolap. ive been averaging almost 5k an hour just vendoring all the spells/gems. the only annoying part about this spot is that locked door because it can only be opened from 1 side

new spot : ocean of tears - seafury cyclops island. good outside zone with multiple camp setup spots around the water shore line of the island. also a few spots in the center of the island. depends on how much ur group can handle. i go center island with 6 45s and because in theory it should have the most selection of mobs

good exp 40-50. a group of 60s can run over the whole island easy. 1 minor problem is cyclops cant be mez'd, only rooted. so pulls can be a bit dicey can get up to 3-4 worst case. 40-50 group can handle 2-3 at a time, 60s can handle 3-4.

decent selection of gems to sell to vendors of plat. also decent stackable drops to sell to vendors for plat so have lots of bag space for the unlimited cash supply that are npc vendors

Fun fact the Rathe Hill Giants are actually better money than Cyclops isle. I was shocked upon finding that out and ran 3 different tests, each time Rathe pulled in 8 - 10k more a day (fully afk)

The biggest issue with the cyclops isle is how heavily traffic'd it is. Considering this is where a part for J boots comes from there's almost always people here/coming here and most of the time they're really annoying. Maybe it's just me but I can't stand when someone shows up, asks if I need a ring and I tell them nah I am here leveling and I let them know they can have the next one that drops. Then they literally hover around me watching me making absolutely no effort themselves to acquire the ring and entirely depending on me to do all the work for them. Probably my second biggest pet peeve

I do recommend the juggs though as you'll almost never run into someone down there and Tolapumj/protector also both drop level 60 spells, torpor, sunstrike, lures etc that you can't get off the regular mobs. As runordie mentioned too the regular spells sell for 30 - 45pp a pop too and each jugg usually drops multiple spells! It definitely adds up very quick.

Good to know about the plat difference between rathe and OOT. OOT does seem like it would get decent traffic but I'm not AFKing so it's not an issue for me

I get trained there more than any other place because a lot of people don't even ask if you're AFK first they just start with a train to determine if you're AFK or not. I have actually recently been 'that guy' who talks to people when they enter my zone just to show I am not AFK before they start shit with me. Cyclops isle is also a place very easy to be trained on since it has Quagmire. Even the best of groups can be wiped out by that mana draining bastard!

ive got a magi pet to deal with quag bastard. if you can't handle the nameds or want to semi-afk you can try sticking to only the north half the isle in hopes of less trouble.

youve pointed out some good things maybe this isnt such a good spot to farm plat. on lockjaw its a decent exp spot for 40s there isnt too much traffic
