Config - Kissassist and MQ2AdvPath

I had a really hard time getting pulling set up in a zone that had an impossible navmesh until I found that you can use MQ2AdvPath instead of, or in addition to, MQ2Nav. If you need pulling to work in a zone like this, here is what I did to get started:

-From the start of your camp, record a path to the farthest pull location with MQ2AdvPath. "/record" to start. "/record save <pathname>" to save it.

-Start Kissassist with these instructions:
/mac kissassist pullertank path <pathname>

KA will still honor the pulling specs in the KA INI and KA_Info files.

I'm posting this because I found hints about this via searching the forums.... Information on AdvPath for KA is well hidden on the Wiki!

What other nuggets did you find on the forums that were not clear on the wiki?

Something to consider when recording paths, is to use the distance between checkpoints when saving the path. By default AdvPath saves every 5 units. That creates to many checkpoints for pulling, every checkpoint is used to search for a mob to pull, So you should spread out the checkpoints, I normally use 30 to start with and then go into the path file and Add any additional checkpoints I need like at sharp corners in a cave or in a door way before entering a room.

I wanted to extend the pull length by adding an additional y checkpoint but it didn't add it. Do I need to zone or reload to get it to work?

Reloading the Mac didn't recognize the additional checkpoint that was manually added.

the checkpoints are numbered, so you have to renumber them to get it to add the new checkpoint.

So it you wanted to add an additional checkpoint to the end you would need to add

20=-1799.24 377.66 -156.13

and then save the ini file and reload the path PullPathNew.
