i havent seen this posted any where and not sure if it is common knowledge so i want to make a thread to help others
if you need to log off/afk for an extended period of time and cant keep a character logged in game in the /pick, an alternative is...
to keep an instance/pick open and available you need at least 1 character logged out but left on character select screen.
basically you need to be in the actual /pick , then camp out to character select and leave the client alone. the next time you log into the character, you will log into that same /pick as before.
i find this most useful when i want to farm/grind a certain camp/zone. durring the peak hours(or double exp weekends) and there are many instances of a zone open, i do this simple trick.
then when i have time to play EQ, i load in that 1 character in and (75% of the time) i have my own personal instance of the zone to work with
