Here's an update of my compile for the 9/7 patch. This should be enough to hold everyone over until Jigs pops his up. Again, not as thorough on Plugins as Jigs, but I'm willing to add even more if anyone requests them.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks Jmo for your prompt release !

I've got repeating error messages when I logged in like "Due to complete misuse of the String Top-Level Object, it has been removed".

It seems looping endlessly.

Need your help. Thanks again Jmo.

I'm not having that trouble. What plugins do you have loaded, it seems like one of yours maybe outdated and may be causing a problem.

Many non-vanilla plugins still use TLOs... to get them to function, you need to reinstate TLO's in your source.

My compile has been used on 5 computers between myself and my friends so far tonight. None of them are having that error. I need to know what Leo has loaded so I can help him solve his problem.

or you could just put TLO's back in so you have a fully functional compile.

I'm done arguing, don't you have anything better to do then stir up shit ever since they took down your last compile because you refuse to follow the rules here?
Telling you how to fix your compile is pretty different than stirring up shit.

Reinstate TLO's, they are important for several plugins, and MANY HUD's and MQ specific UI's.

No, you don't need to put the string TLO back in, as a matter of fact its quite a bit better if you don't. Part of the reason the string TLO was removed was because of the resources/lag that it presented to eq when you put it in huds, etc.
What really needs to happen is you need to use the correct TLO for what you are trying to do.

Jig's, TP's, cade's, TheZ's compiles all put the string TLO back in, I do so in my personal compiles as well. for that matter, the compiling guide we have up somewhere here suggests doing so. I've never lagged with mine -- although I don't use string very often -- and haven't heard complaints about any of their's, even from people using something written with string TLO.

is it better to have things written without it? well, yes, especially if you're writing from scratch or are an efficiency freak. but it's better to have a compile that doesn't force people to rewrite existing code.

There are numerous things I've not seen rewritten without string, it wouldn't be impossible to do, but it's certainly easier not to.

I have never thought this thread flew like this. Jmo, I usually load as few plugins as possible. At this time I loaded eqbugfix, chatwnd, bzsrch, map, hud, custombinds, itemdisplay and labels. Unloading mq2hud plugin resulted in normal functioning of your compile. Thanks Jmo! cheer up man.

hehe...np man. I'll look into the HUD issue, as that's in every MQ compile, might be something on the actual MQ site to fix it. TLO shouldn't be an issue with it. Seems kinda odd. Anyway, thanks for the heads up as to what's causing it. I'll check it out.
