I normally power level my little guys with my druid from outside the group by grabbing a big pile of mobs and using AOE snare/root/de-buffs to get high hate then the small group does a breath weapon or some other AOE beam nuke to get at least 1 damage on all the mobs then the druid turns on all his thorns and within seconds the swarm dies and my group gets a few levels.
It can be risky doing it manually because if a root breaks or the agro gets on the small guys the entire group can die quick which is where I think automation would help because it can monitor each mobs agro and snare/root and target the mob quickly and re-acquire agro then when all or the majority of the mobs are hit by the group the big guy can turn on the thorns and all the mobs die giving all the exp to the group and using this method in hot zones with lessons turned on each person was getting as much as 20% per kill so 1-2 levels per pull up to the mid 50s and about 10% per kill into the 80's where I am now. Sometimes I get a mob that tries to run but I keep it snared and let the small guys beat it to death to bring up their melee skills while it stands still trying to runaway.
I know there are macros to have a healer keep your group healed or buffed from outside the group but does anyone know if there is something like this available that you can maybe set rolls for who is the power levelER and who is the levelEE and what spells are best at each level and what zones are good etc.
And does anyone know how guilt by association works for daybreak? If I helped people level up using this method would they risk getting banned for being in my group even if they never ran any scripts or even knew I was running them? on my server there is a guy that power levels day in and day out 24 hours a day every few minutes his alt is shouting about his power leveling service for years now and i have NEVER seen him get banned (his sellers selling the mission loot and shouters offering the service don't but it seems the groups that actually do the cheating might be banned sometimes) I have also never heard anyone complain they got banned for using his service so I'm wondering what the deal is on that front. But my thing is he only offers services to people that would get exp with a max level character so I am wondering what are good options to help people get up to 95+ where other methods are more effective.
I was thinking you really only need 2 main people then 5 people can just sit there and sap exp. the tanky druid way over level for the zone then 1 character in each of the level ranges that sits in the group and does the aoe damage when the time is right (side note: does the drakkin breath weapon work if you necro sacrifice your life back down to before you were able to get the quest? i.e. the last level says level 75 required but if you get to 75 and max out the breath weapon the drop down to say 50 would your breath weapon no longer work or would it just cast the level 50 version because you had to finish that level to get to max level or will it just cast the lvl 75 version because you finished the quest when you were 75?)
Anyway just throwing out some questions/ideas to see if that is a good idea for the community or if there is already a better method that someone is aware of or if there is a known reason this wont work.
