Instant faction raises for OOW armor

If you have been working on tier one armor quests, there is an easy way to improve faction.

I bet you've already tried to cast your faction raising song/spell on the quest mob, and it didn't work, right?

Well look deeper. More than one NPC is on that faction.

For example, if you're doing the bard quests, the faction song doesn't work on Vorkiev. However, if you cast it on Alkron Wyrmsong (p1870,p660) it will work. He is on Dranik's Loyalists faction as well, so it will even raise it with Vorkiev and you can get your armor much faster. I went from "Warmly" to "ally" with the song.

This should work for enchanters as well, just look around for a mob on the same faction.

Is this a permanent faction increase? Or does it go back to normal when the song is done? Im new to playing a bard so not sure how the song works. Can you keep playing the song from apprehensive to ally?

It's permanent until you zone. You just have to cast it once on an NPC of that faction.

It's kinda funny, I was able to get non KOS to mobs in WoS with the spell on my enchanter when OOW first came out. I could go up to a kyv named, hug him and sit there while people came to pull him and wondered what the hell I was doing.

Oh yeah, just tried this. If you're a bard, and you want to use the faction line of spells on something that you can't cast on, do the following:

1) Target yourself.
2) Start singing the faction song.
3) Target the mob you want to raise faction with that you can't cast on.
4) Hit boastful bellow.

When the song pulse lands, the effect of it will have taken hold on that mob and any other mobs on that faction in the zone.

(You can also use this neat trick to pull through walls, floors/ceilings, etc)

Remember that as a bard your wind mod actually does improve the faction raises given by this song (and you thought flutes were worthless). If you don't have a good wind mod just puretone the song.
