Problem - Hunter/TankHunter Mode = Not attacking. (kissassist issue)

Got this strange issue when I use Hunter or TankHunter mode(w/ kissassist) the character will attack the first mob but then after that just run up to the monsters and stand there and spam kick/taunt but not attack.
All the toons in assist mode work completely fine though and will auto attack.

My current remedy is to have my programable mouse spam a hotkey that has /attack on and that will at least keep it attacking.

Would like to get it working properly though. Any ideas?

I sometimes have this issue as well in hunter mode. The DPS section still goes off but attack gets turned off. My solution is:

DPS1=command: /attack on

Seems to work fairly well but would be interested to see if there is a better fix.

I am having the same issue. On 3 different computers all with fresh installs of MQ. I have even started fresh KissAssist_Charactername.ini files just in case.

howdy Demigun,

can you double check #6 here in this list? so to make sure you aren't trying to huntertank on a blank ini

There are a couple of small, yet important changes with MacroQuest vs the old MQ2 as explained > HERE <

Moving to MacroQuest mental notes:
1. mq2map click is Control+Shift+Click
2. new easyfind self travel is Control+Click (reminder in find window title bar)
3. new easyfind group travel is Control+Shift+Click
4. If you selected a destination in your zone guide and want to activate it you /travelto activate
5. /yes and /no are now aliases
6. your ini configuration files (like for kissassist) now reside in your "Config" folder and not your "Macro" folder
7. if you want the functionality of the MQ2 "MQ2TargetInfo" - They are now in 3 separate plugins: /plugin groupinfo /plugin targetinfo /plugin xtarinfo

I am fairly new to MQ. I say this not to play dumb but to say that from the start I folowed the most recent video tutorials. Because of this I started with Kissassist. I access the .ini files by right clicking the MQ icon on my taskbar>open folder>config. From there I open the appropriate KissAssist_Charactername.ini file. I create the base ini file the way I was shown in the video, I believe it was target yourself and type /mac kissassist, wait for it to beep and end the macro on it's own and presto new .ini file. I have found it best to make small changes and test on weak mobs untill I get it working the way that I want.

I have followed the process for all 3 computers and I get the same result on all 3.

Make sure you are NOT using MQ2Melee in hunter/Huntertank mode.
I had to wait until after the patch to try this. First I unloaded the MQMelee plugin and tried it, and got the same result. Then I went into the .ini file and set UseMQ2Melee=0. I have only had a short time to test it but it appears to bo working now. Thank you very much.
